International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission to hold July 19 vigil against the death penalty
The International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) joins the Persian Gay and Lesbian Organization (PGLO) and other LGBT and human rights organizations worldwide in holding a vigil in New York City against the death penalty on July 19 at 5 p.m. The date commemorates the anniversary of the brutal public hanging of two young men in Iran last year. |

LGBT Asian and Pacific Islander leaders announce mini-grants to assist national study by Policy InstituteThe planning committee from the national roundtable of LGBT Asian and Pacific Islander leaders from last year’s Creating Change is proud to announce a series of cash mini-grants to organizations/individuals that assist in the collection of surveys for the Policy Institute’s national study of LGBT Asian and Pacific Islander Americans. This week in Ashland, Ky., Kentucky Fairness Alliance, another one of our statewide partners, is sponsoring a Community Organizing School along with the Southern Empowerment Project and Kentucky Jobs with Justice.
