Support for same-sex marriage grows significantly
"Across the nation, voters rejected candidates who aligned themselves with the extreme Christian right-wing agenda and repudiated Karl Rove's divisive strategy of relying on the GOP's base of so-called 'values voters' and divisive wedge issues to win elections. Task Force hails election victories supporting reproductive freedoms
Election results show that the right wing experienced significant setbacks in trying to restrict women's right to reproductive freedom. Anti-choice ballot initiatives in California, South Dakota and Oregon were all defeated.

Marriage showdown tonight at People For the American Way
Same-sex marriage: A question of equal rights or an attempt by progressives to hijack a fundamentally religious institution? This evening at 6:30 p.m., People For the American Way (PFAW) Foundation and Young People For will host a two-part discussion pitting Task Force Executive Director Matt Foreman against nationally syndicated columnist Maggie Gallagher (maggiegallagher.com) for election analysis and a marriage debate.
