Task Force Policy Institute launches largest-ever national study of LGBT Asian and Pacific Islander AmericansThe Policy Institute is currently conducting a confidential, online survey of the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) community in the U.S. The survey is available in four languages — English, Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese — and its findings will be used to promote the particular concerns and priorities of API lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

Celebrating Pride at Pride in the ArtsLast weekend, the Task Force celebrated Pride in the lush green hills of West Virginia at Pride in the Arts, a two-day LGBT music and arts festival. The festival was held at gay-owned and -operated Longfork Campground in Walton. Task Force staff built relationships with local activists and community leaders, while signing up people to receive Task Force updates and information. Creating Change 2006 workshop deadline fast approachingThe Task Force is seeking workshop proposals for Creating Change, the premier national grassroots organizing and skills building LGBT conference. Proposals for this year's conference, to be held in Kansas City, Missouri, Nov. 8–12, are due to the Task Force by 6 p.m. on July 14.
