Task Force mourns death of Eric Rofes, a leader, activist and visionary

The Task Force mourns the death of Eric Rofes, a leader, activist, visionary, former board member and dear friend to the Task Force. He died yesterday as the result of a heart attack.

Pride from coast to coast

Neither pouring rain nor wind put a damper on celebrating Pride last weekend. The Task Force was at three Prides over the last weekend in June, including two of the largest celebrations: one in New York City and the other in San Francisco. The Task Force had a booth at both events, and at Pride in Seattle, home of our statewide capacity building partner Equal Rights Washington.

Becca Ahuja featured among GO NYC's "100 Women We Love"

Task Force field organizer Becca Ahuja smiles out from the pages of GO NYC magazine's Pride issue. GO NYC, New York's "cultural roadmap for the city girl," featured Ahuja as part of "100 Women We Love: Class of 2006," lauding her for "hit[ting] the trenches and recruit[ing] people to fight."

Members of our state partner Kentucky Fairness Alliance scored a front-page headline in the Lexington Herald-Leader for revealing their struggles as LGBT students at Christian-run colleges.
