Bex Ahuja

Bex Ahuja
Senior Field Organizer
Bex Ahuja began her career in organizing eight years ago at Stony Brook University where she was leading racial and economic justice campaigns on campus as she was majoring in mechanical engineering. From there she went on to work at the Task Force to help defeat anti-LGBT political attacks from Massachusetts to Topeka, Kan. Ahuja has worked on more than 15 LGBT ballot measure and legislative campaigns across the country. Most recently she was the statewide deputy field director for the No on Prop. 8 campaign and the field director for the final five weeks of the No on 1 campaign in Maine. From helping preserve the freedom to marry in Massachusetts to defeating anti-LGBT initiatives in smaller cities like Topeka, Ahuja has worked with and trained hundreds of activists to participate and lead strategic grassroots organizing and collective action. When she's not on the campaign trail she's at home in Brooklyn, N.Y., enjoying being an NYC foodist, amateur church choir director, and most important to her, a good friend to her peeps.
