Originally from Queens, N.Y., Stacey Long has more than 20 years of public policy experience. She has worked in both government and nonprofit sectors and most recently served as the director of advocacy & community development at Bread for the City, a local nonprofit that focuses on the needs of low-income D.C. residents. Long is active in numerous civic and community groups, including serving as the chair of the D.C. Commission for Women and board secretary of SMYAL (Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League). She has an A.B. in Africana Studies from Vassar College, a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School and a Nonprofit Management Executive certificate from the Georgetown University Public Policy Institute.
