Be part of Prop. 8 history
3/4/09
Tonight, people committed to equality will gather across the country for Eve of Justice candlelight vigils and rallies. Tomorrow, the oral arguments on Proposition 8 will be heard by the California Supreme Court.
Our fight for full equality has only grown stronger since this past November, and right now we’ve got important ways you can get involved and show your support. Here’s how:
Head out tonight for the Eve of Justice. The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force has joined with other groups in co-sponsoring tonight’s Eve of Justice candlelight vigils and rallies occurring throughout California and in other parts of the country. View a detailed list of Eve of Justice events here and please take time to show your support at an event near you.
Watch and track tomorrow’s oral arguments. We know many of you are interested following the proceedings as they unfold. Here’s how to tune in:
- Watch online tomorrow from 9 a.m.-noon (PST), noon-3 p.m. (EST).
- If you’re in California, you can watch it on TV or join a viewing event to watch with others.
- Follow blogging coverage by the National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR), the lead counsel in the Prop. 8 challenge.
Stay tuned, and thanks for your ongoing commitment to the Task Force.
