Pick up the phone to help defeat the âanti-LGBT amendmentâ
On September 12 the North Carolina legislature will hear amendments for the general election ballot of 2012. One of these amendments is House Bill 777/Senate Bill 106, otherwise known as the âanti-LGBT amendment.â This ridiculous amendment would ban same-sex marriage, prohibit civil unions and nullify domestic partnership benefits.
Equality North Carolina needs your help to make sure this amendment doesnât get onto the ballot.
All you have to do is sign up for a shift to make phone calls. (Donât be scared, itâs easy!) You can even do it right from your own house — all you need is a phone and a computer.
