EXPANDED EVENTS TO INCLUDE CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

Winter Party™* Festival is a celebration of social and cultural events (including art, dance, music, food/wine) benefiting the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. The week of events will be held March 3 - 7, 2005 and culminates with Winter Party, a world-class beach dance party attended by more than 4,500 visitors in the hottest destination in the United States — South Beach. Approximately 10,000 participants from across the United States, Canada, Europe, South American and Australia attend the 5 day celebration.

The events are a celebration and tribute to the LGBT community. Official Winter Party™ Festival events are not only held at several of the hottest nightclubs and venues in town, but also at some of the most popular hotels and restaurants in South Beach, making the event an attractive destination for everyone. A cultural pass will be offered in addition to the always sold out dance pass. Cultural events will include theatre, music, art, food, wine tasting and scenic tours.

As a result of this annual fundraising event, well over $1 million has been granted to LGBT organizations serving Miami-Dade. Two-thirds of the net proceeds will be distributed to the Miami-Dade community through a new granting program administered by the Dade Community Foundation. The remaining one-third will benefit the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.

The main event will be held on Sunday, March 6, where a large dance floor, complete with a DJ booth, stage and refreshment tents, is installed amidst the stunning backdrop of South Beach for this world famous celebration.
