A 2000 national survey found that:
- United States residents increasingly support adoption by lesbians and gay men;
- A strong majority support lesbians and gay men serving in the military;
- Strong majorities back sexual orientation-inclusive nondiscrimination laws.
The data in this report indicate positive development in the American public’s attitudes toward lesbians and gay men.
