This break out publication of the National Transgender Discrimination Survey [NTDS] spotlights the particularly devastating results for Latino and Latina transgender and gender non-conforming people because of the combined result of racism, anti-transgender bias, and often anti-immigrant sentiment. The National Transgender Discrimination Survey [NTDS] results showed that transgender people faced bias that affects all areas of life. However, one of the most important findings was that the combination of anti-transgender with structural and individual racism meant that transgender people of color experience particularly devastating levels of discrimination.
